FRANK DUARTE
A native of Metropolitan Los Angeles, Duarte earned an Associate of Arts degree in Music from Fullerton College, a Bachelor of Music degree in Composition from California State University, Northridge, and a Master of Music Degree in Composition from Butler University. In 2020, he entered the Doctor of Musical Arts degree in composition program at Texas Tech University, studying under Jennifer Jolley. He was an instructor of record, teaching composition at Texas Tech. In Fall 2021, he will continue his doctoral studies at Michigan State University. His previous mentors have included Anthony Mazzaferro, Michael Colburn (Conducting), and Liviu Marinescu, Milen Kirov, Michael Schelle, and James Mulholland (Composition). Duarte is a member of ASCAP, ACF, SCI, Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia, and Beta Theta Pi. He is also a member of Landscape Music and ADJ•ective Composers’ Collective. His works are also published by Tolliver Music Company and Murphy Music Press, LLC.
